Exide Technologies Account Manager - Network Power in Rotterdam, Netherlands

Overview

For our Network Power division, Exide is looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager in the Netherlands who is interested in a new challenge (after his/her first sales role in electrical engineering). This role is a next step in your sales career and comes with great commercial responsibility. You will be particularly busy with acquisition and serving our customer needs in the following market segments: UPS, telecommunications, (petro) chemicals, renewables, steel industry, railways, energy producers & suppliers and other electrical market segments.

As market leader in the production and sales of energy storage systems and project solutions, GNB Industrial Power has important customers at which contact needs to be maintained but the focus is on expanding, mapping and approaching new customers. You can approach new customers with the tactic of a sales hunter, you decide the DMU’s and you are capable of analyzing the customer needs and provide an excellent solution. Therefore an electric technical background is essential.

Due to the complexity of products, a specialized team in Kontich (Antwerp) and Rotterdam will provide assistance where ever you need and will make your quotations or handle the actual realization of the projects that you sell. To be effective on the field, you will be put on a training course the first few months to expand the knowledge of our products and to get to know the company and our customers.

The employment contract will start with a fulltime employment with a chance to be extended to an open ended contract, with all the advantages of the Metalektro Union, Participation with the PME Pension mandatory (50/50). To make a success out of this role we will provide a company car, smartphone and laptop. For indexation we offer participation in the Exide European Merit Increase system and a participation in the bonus system with the possibility to earn an annual bonus of 12.5% of the gross annual salary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor educational level

  • 5 to 10 years of successful commercial experience in electro technical sales role with project selling

  • Experience in B2B sales of industrial / technical products

  • Knowledge of energy storage (battery) solutions is a plus (a training course is part of the induction period)

  • A commercial minded sales hunter with a winners mentality, capable actively seeking for new clients

  • Capable to detect project and client leads

  • Works independent or in coordination with the sales director

  • Capable of giving technical commercial presentations to clients

  • Used to work with KPI’s

  • Strong annalistic view and market knowledge

  • Capable to use short- and long term sale-tactics with effective results

  • Familiar with MS Office (PowerPoint/Excel/Word), knowledge of CRM Sales force is an asset.
