Exide Technologies Zone Sales Coordinator - Northeast in Lombard, Illinois


The Zone Sales Coordinator provides sales and process support while assisting the sales teams to enhance relationships with new battery distribution channels. In addition, the Zone sales coordinator willprovide cross-functional project and process support, while also having direct responsibilities for providing customer sales quotes and entering customer orders. This position also involves providing analytical support for Zone Sales Directors and Regional Sales Managers in a designated sales zone in order to assist in achieving business KPIs.

Experience leading change, acting with boldness and laser focused on delivering a world class customer experience are requirements for this position. The position will be field based within a geographical zone, be part of the zone sales teams as an inside sales/support person and report directly to a Zone Sales Director


  • Expert in all key functions of sales quoting/order entry as well as customer contact.

  • Coordinates with all necessary internal / external departments to coordinate sales programs, promotions, and order processing.

  • Coordinate with salesforce.com (SFDC) manager on sales reports and dashboards.

  • Coordinate with other zone sales coordinators to create and manage best practices within the group.

  • Build and maintain relationships with team membersas well as customers.

  • Provide sales and process support.

  • Provide training on internal systems to new zone sales hires and to include external training to new channel partners, OEM dealers, and end users when nessessary.



  • Strong leadership skills

  • Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills

  • Expert (or becomes an expert) with JDE, Salesforce.com, Excel and Sales Cubes

  • Be an agent of change

  • A high degree of flexibility, organization skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize a variety of tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Customers, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Legal, IT & Supply Chain teams

  • Strong analytical skills

Experience / Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Word and other MS Products

Travel / Other Requirements:

  • Occasional travel maybe required.
